If you have logged in to CAQH ProView lately, you may have noticed a new name. On June 8, 2026, CAQH rebranded as DataSpring, "powered by CAQH." For most providers, nothing about the day-to-day work has changed, but there is one thing worth being careful about.
What changed
The company has a new name and brand. It also changed from a nonprofit to a for-profit company earlier in 2026, and is owned by a group of health plan-affiliated companies. The reporting we reviewed says payer owners do not get extra access to your data beyond what you authorize, and that participation is still voluntary.
What stayed the same
The portal you use is still called the CAQH Provider Data Portal, at proview.caqh.org. Your login, profile, uploaded documents, payer authorizations and attestation history carry over. Attestation is still needed at least every 120 days (180 in Illinois), and a missed window marks the profile as expired. As far as has been announced, the portal is still free for clinicians.
Watch for scam emails
Any time a well-known name changes, scam emails follow. A real reminder will not ask for your password. Log in by typing the address into your browser yourself, rather than clicking a link in an email.
A five-minute check
Confirm your next attestation date and put a reminder in your calendar. Check that your license and malpractice documents are current. Make sure the practice address and contact details are right, and remove authorizations for organizations you no longer work with. We put the same steps into a one-page CAQH profile readiness checklist, and there is more background in why a stale CAQH profile slows credentialing.
If keeping up with CAQH and payer applications is more than you have time for, that is a big part of what we do. See our services, or send us a note.
