Frequently asked questions

General

What does Clarion RCM do?

We support healthcare practices with state licensing, provider credentialing, payer enrollment, and billing, coding, and denials.

Does Clarion automate denial management?

Denials work at Clarion is handled by people. We review each denial reason, correct and resubmit claims that can be recovered, and follow up with payers. We work with the billing system and payer portals your practice uses, and we do not promise fully automated denial handling or any particular payer decision.

How does Clarion help with denials caused by incorrect insurance information?

Many denials start with wrong or outdated insurance details. We review claims before submission, check them against the information on file, and correct and resubmit denied claims where the error can be fixed. We also flag the patterns behind repeat denials so they can be prevented at the front desk. We do not guarantee payer decisions.

Who do you work with?

Practices of different sizes and specialties. Tell us your specialty, your providers, and the payers you work with, and we will scope the work around them.

How long has Clarion RCM been working in this field?

Since 2020.

Can I use just one service?

Yes. You can choose a single service or combine them. Each one is scoped to the providers and payers you need.

Can I check your work before I decide?

Yes. References are available on request. Ask us and we will share them so you can check our work before you decide.

Pricing

How is billing and revenue cycle support priced?

It is priced as 4% to 6% of collections, with a $500 monthly minimum. A limited per-claim option at $4 to $7 per claim is available for defined claim-processing needs.

How is credentialing priced?

Payer applications start at $100 to $140 each. Managed credentialing is $125 per provider per month for groups of 4 to 10 providers and $99 per provider per month for groups of 11 or more.

How is payer enrollment priced?

Payer applications are $99 to $139 each. Managed enrollment is $500 per month plus $99 per provider. Annual unlimited enrollment is $1,000 to $1,500 per provider per year.

How is state licensing priced?

License setup is $300 to $600 per license, one time. Renewal and compliance maintenance is $50 to $100 per license per month.

How are re-credentialing and hospital privileging priced?

Re-credentialing is priced at 50% to 60% of the initial credentialing cost. Hospital privileging is $300 to $800 per location.

Is the final price the same as the listed starting price?

Listed prices are starting points. Final scope and price depend on the service requested, and we confirm the details with you before work begins.

Credentialing and enrollment

What does payer enrollment cover?

Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, private, and regional payers, from forms and submission through effective-date, status, and revalidation follow-up.

What do you need from us to start?

Provider information and documents such as licenses, NPI numbers, malpractice insurance, and CVs. Our checklists on the Resources page list what payers commonly ask for.

Do you guarantee approval or a timeline?

No. Licensing, credentialing, and enrollment decisions are made by state boards, payers, and hospitals. We support the process and give you an expected timeline when we confirm your scope, but we do not control their decisions.

Which states do you support?

We support practices in all 50 US states for every service. State licensing requirements differ by state, so tell us which states you need and we will confirm the details when we scope your work.

What happens after a provider is enrolled?

Depending on your service, we continue with effective-date follow-up, status checks, and revalidation tracking so enrollments stay current.

Billing and denials

What is included in billing support?

Coding, claim review, claim submission, payment follow-up, denials management, and accounts-receivable support.

What does the $500 monthly minimum mean?

If 4% to 6% of your monthly collections comes to less than $500, the $500 minimum applies. Our billing calculator shows an estimate.

When does per-claim billing make sense?

It is a limited option for defined claim-processing needs. For ongoing billing support, the percentage-of-collections option is usually the better fit, and we will go over both when we scope your work.

Can I schedule a meeting?

Yes. Use the Schedule a meeting page to pick a date and time, or send a help request and we will arrange a time.

Can I send patient information?

Does Clarion handle PHI, and will you sign a BAA?

Please do not send patient information or PHI through our website, chat assistant or email. Licensing, credentialing and enrollment use provider information, not patient information. If a service such as billing and denials involves PHI, we sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your practice first and agree how information is shared before any PHI is exchanged. Ask us about it when you book a call.
